Todd Henrikson is a very happy man — and with good reason after claiming the KVOE Hide & Seek medallion, along with the grand prize package.
Henrikson picked up his prizes shortly after appearing on KVOE’s Morning Show to discuss his hunt, which ended near Emporia State University’s King Lake and the Prophet Aquatic Research and Outreach Center.
From there, it was off to PAROC, and Henrikson says the search took all of 10 minutes. Henrikson didn’t hesitate to credit “dumb luck” for his success.
Listeners had three weeks to get their licenses validated before KVOE started revealing clues about the medallion’s location last week. Full validation was needed for a contestant to claim the entire prize package.
Several sponsors were included again this year like Midwest Mama Co, Wagon Wheel, Jack’s Lawn & Pool, Flint Hills Lanes, Brown’s Shoe Fit, NexTech Wireless, Emporia Imaginarium and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.
