An Americus man was hospitalized following a rollover wreck in Lyon County on Wednesday.
Lyon County Deputy James Baker says the wreck happened around 4:45 pm in the 2000 block of Road F-5, part of the Americus Road and also in between Emporia and Americus. Baker says Matthew Hart of Americus was southbound and went off the road for unlisted reasons. Hart overcorrected, rolling the pickup at least twice.
Baker says Hart was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
An ambulance took Hart to Newman Regional Health with unspecified injuries.
Besides deputies, Emporia/Lyon County EMS and Americus Fire responded to the site.

Formal details are pending after an injury crash between Emporia and Americus on Wednesday afternoon.
Emporia Fire and Lyon County deputies responded to Road F north of Road 200 shortly before 5 pm. Fire Capt. Wade Schmidt says one person was taken to Newman Regional Health after a vehicle apparently rolled.
An investigation is ongoing.
