Denim & Diamonds did extremely well for Newman Regional Health last week.
Shortly after the signature event ended at the Emporia State Memorial Union Webb Hall, organizers announced a preliminary total of over $206,000. Shortly after an appearance on KVOE’s Morning Show on Wednesday, the final total was revealed: over $236,000.
Proceeds benefit improvements to the WS and EC Jones Cardiovascular Lab. Business Development Marketing Specialist Saylor Middleton says that work is already underway.
Director of Marketing and Community Relations Kacie Hastings says the equipment will continue the hospital’s dedication to its patients.
Besides the gala event, the event also included a golf tournament and barbecue lunch earlier this year.
Denim & Diamonds was essentially a sellout well before the signature event, thanks to the support of and interest from sponsors. Discussions are already underway for next year’s event.
