Summertime heat will definitely be in place for the upcoming weekend.
All area counties are in heat advisories from 1-8 pm Friday. Most area counties — Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee — actually have an advisory going through 8 pm Saturday.
Air temperatures will climb to the mid-90s with peak heat index readings at 102-104 both days.
Air temperatures could climb to the mid-90s again Sunday and Monday. Slight chances of storms will mean highs in the low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday.
