Back-to-school activities are definitely in full swing this week, and AAA Kansas is doing its best to remind everybody of different safety points to consider as people get back into the school schedule.
Public Affairs Manager Shawn Steward tells KVOE News this is a time period that may be a lot more hazardous than you might think for pedestrians and cyclists.
Steward says a sticking point, both for AAA and law enforcement, is the amount of drivers passing school buses that have the stop arms out as they load or unload students.
AAA encourages drivers to obey all traffic signals and signs, eliminate distractions like cell phones and keep track of their time.
