The Lyon County Board of Zoning Appeals and Emporia Metropolitan Area Planning Commission will have back-to-back meetings Tuesday evening.
The BZA currently has one item on its agenda as it considers a variance request at 1314 Woodland involving the maximum height of an accessory structure.
The Planning Commission, meanwhile, has two related items ahead. Both relate to the nearly-40-acre Cedarbrook Meadows residential and commercial development slated for the 4500 block of West 18th. Planning Commission members will consider the final Planned Unit Development and final plat after steadfastly holding to significantly larger lot sizes than developers have requested, only to see Emporia city commissioners give preliminary approval to the PUD — which included larger lot sized than developers originally outlined but smaller than the Planning Commission wants.
The meetings begin at 6 pm at the Municipal Court Room.
