There are a lot of approvals ahead as Lyon County commissioners have their weekly action session Thursday:
*LCAT administrators Shane Brunner and Misty Norton will present the agency’s Title VI complaint procedures and limited English proficiency plan for review and approval
*County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield will present a request from the Santa Fe Trail’s Heart of the Flint Hills chapter to install two signs near the existing “Old Allen” marker at minimal cost to the county. Scritchfield will also also present a request to remove the county’s current requirement for all entrances on hard-surfaced roads to be approved by the County Commission
*Lyon County Sheriff’s Office representative Tobey Kelly presents a $7,000 upfitting request for an SUV
*Human Resources Director Alicia Rumold will present updated policies on accommodations, training, smoke-free workplaces, sick leave pool and donations of person-to-person leave
*Emergency Communications Director Roxanne Van Gundy presents a $16,000 request to partner with Hyper for automating around 18,000 non-emergency calls as part of a four-month pilot program
Commission and staff reports are also planned.
The meeting is at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
