The Emporia High School volleyball team has high hopes for 2025 as they return four starters from last year’s squad that went 23-13, which fell in the 5A sub-state semi-finals to Maize South. Spartans Head Coach Ping Wang says she is excited to get the season started and feels that her team has a good chance of finding success.
Senior Jade Xu is a senior outside hitter who has been an all-Centennial League first team selection in each of the last three seasons and says this year’s team has great chemistry.
Senior Molly Williams is coming off an outstanding junior season as well, which saw her earn All Centennial League honorable mention honors from her libero position, and says the experience from last year’s team will make a difference this season.
Emporia has a Jamboree at Emporia High School on Tuesday against Lebo and Osage and will open the season at Hutchinson on Saturday at 9 AM.
