Portions of Lyon County Rural Water District 3 affected by a boil water advisory can now proceed as normal.
Office Manager Julia Langley and District 3 Chair Bob Miller say the advisory was lifted Tuesday afternoon.
Parts of the district served by the south standpipe near Kansas Highway 99 and Road 50 have been under an advisory since late Thursday afternoon after a water line break in the 400 block between Roads J and K. Once the break was found and fixed Friday evening, Langley says things moved about as quickly as possible. The standpipe filled Friday night and was flushed Saturday morning. Samples were then collected over the weekend and submitted to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday.
