Resurfacing is underway for a highway in Coffey County.
Work officially began this week on resurfacing US Highway 75 from Burlington south to Kansas Highway 58, using chip seal as the pavement method. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the project is designed to “refresh the surface of the highway” and make traffic move more smoothly.
Flaggers and a pilot car will move traffic through the construction zone. Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible. Work could end by late September, weather permitting.
Vance Brothers of Kansas City, Missouri, won the project with a nearly $320,000 bid.
