Stormont-Vail Health is touting a 4-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services when it comes to hospital quality.
The CMS ratings track performance in five categories — timely and effective care, patient experience, readmission, safety of care and mortality. Marketing and Communications Specialist Taylor Bugg says the 4-star rating is connected to the hospital’s ongoing efforts to lower patient fall numbers and workplace safety hazards, as well as transparent reporting to national agencies, the work of its Quality and Patient Safety Leadership Committee and its Magnet designation for nursing excellence in place since 2019. Bugg also says the rating reflects the hospital’s “continued commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to the communities it serves.”
Stormont-Vail is in the early process of eventually building a nearly $45 million medical office complex near West 18th and Road G over the next two years.
