Some parts of the KVOE listening area are apparently having a foggier start to their Friday than others.
Lyon and most surrounding counties are in dense fog advisories. For Lyon, Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties, the alert ends at 9 am. For Greenwood County, the alert expires at 10 am. Regardless of the county, the National Weather Service says visibility could be under a quarter-mile on a widespread basis.
If you encounter fog while driving, slow down, use low-beam headlights and give extra space and driving distance between your vehicle and others around you.
