One summertime attraction in Emporia is closing down for the season this upcoming weekend.
The Sertoma Club is finishing miniature train rides. Club member Ron Dinkel says the train’s last days for the season will be Saturday and Sunday, with the train running between 6:30-8:30 pm both days.
Rides have been free all summer, thanks to a donation from Emporians Kent and Natalie Schnakenberg. That will be the case again this weekend.
