While Abundant Harvest’s board president and former executive director offer sharp contrasts in exactly what unfolded before a decision to close the charity was announced Friday, former director Josh Graves says short-term operations will remain on the current schedule.
A Facebook post with Graves’ name attached late Sunday night says the hot meal schedule will remain at 4 pm Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, while food giveaways will remain at 8:30 am Mondays and Thursdays through Sept. 12.
The current schedule has Abundant Harvest closing Oct. 1, although the United Way of the Flint Hills and city of Emporia say they are working towards solutions that could keep the food kitchen open.
