At least for now, jury trial is set to begin late this month for a man accused of selling a small amount of methamphetamine near an Emporia school.
Kyndal Orange appeared in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday and was set for trial to begin Sept. 29. A final pretrial is now on the docket for Sept. 24. A bond modification request by Orange’s defense team was denied.
Orange is accused of selling meth within 1,000 feet of Emporia High School as part of an alleged incident in March. He’s also charged with possessing meth, marijuana and paraphernalia, as well as transporting an open container of alcohol and traffic counts.
