Lyon County’s road network is now back to normal after recent minor flooding.
The Highway Department announced Road H reopened between Roads 160 and 165. Also, Road G, or Merrick Tower Road, reopened between 160 and 170 after both low-level flooding and a creek crossing project that was delayed a day by the flooding.
Lyon and surrounding counties picked up 1.5-4.5 inches of rain during the Labor Day weekend, causing minor road flooding and pushing the Cottonwood River at Emporia out of its banks for part of Wednesday.
