Emporia’s Jade Xu reached a career milestone of 1000 kills on Monday night at Emporia’s home triangular against Lansing and Topeka. Xu says it’s a special moment in her volleyball career.
Xu had 21 kills in the two matches to lead Emporia to a split in the triangular. Emporia opened up with a 2-0 loss to Lansing 25-19, 25-19 in the first match, but bounced back to win their final match over Topeka, 25-19, 25-10. The Lady Spartans will be back in action when they travel to Valley Center on Saturday.
