There is a lot of business ahead for the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education on Wednesday.
Board members will have their official revenue-neutral rate hearing at 5:45 pm, followed by the annual budget hearing at 5:50 pm and the regular board meeting starting at 6 pm.
During the regular meeting, board members may well approved the budget, revenue-neutral rate and health insurance benefits package. The board could also approve an administrative leeway board item to handle over $20,000 in emergency repairs at Village Elementary. Board and superintendent reports are planned before an executive session for evaluating Superintendent David McGehee’s early work.
All meetings Wednesday will be at Mary Herbert Education Center.
