Several road construction projects in the KVOE listening area are poised to move forward after recent action by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The list includes mudjacking at various points in Lyon and Wabaunsee counties as part of a larger project in several counties, mainly in northeast Kansas. Raising Solutions of Jefferson City, Missouri, won the contract with a $1.2 million bid.
Greenwood County will see work on a culvert over Homer Creek Drainage near the east junction of US Highway 54 and Kansas Highway 99. B & B Bridge Company of St Paul submitted a nearly $1.6 million bid to win that contract. A separate project will ead to geometric improvements on Kansas Highway 58 in Madison just east of South Fourth Street. This is a nearly $1.3 million project with Vogts-Parga Construction of Moundridge as the lead contractor.
In Morris County, Kansas Highway 4 will have pavement restoration in White City from Grand to Walnut. Smoky Hill LLC of Salina won the contract with a nearly $1.5 million bid.
