CareArc has officially announced details for its annual drive-thru flu shot clinic next month.
Marketing Manager Justin Ogleby says the event will be from 7:30 am to 4 pm Oct. 3 at CareArc, 420 West 15th. As has been the case for years, residents need to drive under the west-side canopy to get their vaccines. People attending the clinic do not need to get out of their vehicles.
The clinic is for people ages six months and up. No appointment is needed. Standard-dose flu shots will be available, but high-dose, nasal spray and egg-free vaccines will not. There will also not be any COVID-19 vaccines during the drive-thru clinic for flu shots. Flu vaccines are free with most insurance plans or $30, payable by cash or check, for people without insurance. Consent forms are needed and and are available online at carearc.org/forms.
