Newman Regional Health has a new physician on board.
The hospital has officially announced internal medicine specialist Dr Ernesto Diaz on Wednesday. Diaz earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and most recently served as an Internal Medicine Resident at that hospital, leading emergency response efforts, managing patient panels and providing comprehensive care as part of his duties. He has also developed his skills as part of a research fellowship at KU School of Medicine-Wichita.
Diaz is fluent in Spanish and sys he is glad to be in Emporia, saying the city is “big enough to stay active but still small enough for real connections.”
