Emporia State University’s Presidential Search Committee is busy.
Community conversations are underway, in part through an online survey. Committee Chair Jim Kessler says that’s not the only method being used to get the needed input from the community.
Meanwhile, virtual campus listening sessions are coming for faculty members from 10:15-11:15 am Friday and for students from 3-4 pm, also Friday. In-person listening sessions will be announced later.
Kessler says this information will funnel to the committee’s external search partner, CBIZ, before the committee finalizes its work later this fall.
The online survey asks questions including skills sets, relevant opportunities, relevant challenges and qualities making Emporia State a “special opportunity.” All this work is underway now after current President Ken Hush announced his plans to retire effective mid-December.
