The Emporia Recreation Commission’s monthly meeting Monday will largely be focused on different updates.
Board members will get separate updates on the work to secure a community development block grant for major upgrades to the DeBauge Family Sports Complex. They will also have their first monthly update after the restart of the RecXtra after-school program benefiting students at USD 253 Emporia, following three years of operations by the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas. Another update involves audit work.
Other business includes discussions about credit card transaction fees and repairs to the indoor pool inside the Lee Beran Recreation Center. A Leadership Team update from Sports Supervisor Bryan Sailer is also scheduled.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm at the Lee Beran Rec Center.
