The Emporia Hot Flashes granny basketball team finished third in the Kansas Senior Games in Emporia this past weekend. The Flashes started 3-0 in pool play on Saturday before going 2-1 in bracket play, falling only to the eventual champions, the Iowa Late Bloomers. The team took home bronze medals after going 5-1 in the tournament. The team played under the original women’s rules of basketball and using uniforms of the era back in the 1920’s.
