The Emporia girls Tennis team went on the road yesterday to compete in Topeka and found great success on the Kossover Tennis Center. Kali Keough placed first in singles, going undefeated at 5-0 on the day. Izabella Hinst finished 3rd in singles after a 3-1 record.
In doubles action, Emporia shined as both doubles pairs went undefeated, as Peyton Chanley and Kinsley Hines held a 5-0 record, as did Chelsea Mendez and Alexa Tovar who also went 5-0 to cap off a stellar day for Emporia girls tennis and tied for for first place Emporia returns to action when they travel to Topeka again to take on Washburn Rural on Tuesday.
