This weekend, Emporia State University is hosting their Music Gala Benefit concert on Saturday.
The music portion will be just over an hour, featuring traditional classical chamber music performed by Emporia State and Emporia High Alums as part of small ensembles.
Dr. Alan Comstock, Director of Music Programming at ESU, a guest of KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday discussed the benefit fundraiser illustrating the music selection process.
The concert will benefit ESU students through scholarships, and is the single source of scholarship revenue for the Department of Music, with Comstock emphasizing the vital importance these funds play in maintaining a robust Music Department.
The benefit concert will take place at Heath Recital Hall in the Beach Music Hall, starting at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door. ESU students receive free admission.
