Week three of the high school football season is here as KVOE network of stations has two games Friday night, as 1-1 Lebo travels to 1-1 Waverly, on Country 101.7. FM. In our other Area Game of the Week, 1-1 Olpe hosts 1-1 Jayhawk Linn in our other Area Game of the Week on Mix 104.9 starting with pregame coverage at 6:40.
Lebo is coming off of their first win of the season against Northern Heights last week. Wolves Head Coach Brian Hadley knows it’s a matchup of two teams that have a lot of talent, but is also a game with other implications as well.
Waverly Head Coach Nick Fraenza knows it’s not easy to bounce back from a tough 52-0 loss to Burlingame last week, and he says they have to win the line of scrimmage against a stout front of Lebo to have a chance.
Olpe looks for their second straight win in our other Area Game of the Week, taking on a 1-1 Jayhawk Linn team that has a stout defense, allowing just 13 ppg.
Other area games include: Burlingame at Madison, Hartford at Northern Heights, Chase County at Axtell, Osage City at Waubansee.
