Lyon County Commissioners approved several payments and purchases as part of their regular action meeting Thursday.
The list included a quote from CDW-G for Bitdefender and an upgrade to Gravity Zone Enterprise with a 3-year subscription totaling $34,888. Separately, Emergency Communications Director Roxanne Van Gundy submitted a bill from ESRI for $4,950 to be paid with General Contractual Services funds for the county’s share of the 2025-26 fire map.
The cost is shared between city/county/fire district departments and will be reimbursed to Lyon County Emergency Communications. In other emergency communications business, commissioners approved paying LCECC’s portion of the CAD and firewall to the city of Emporia for just over $30,300 to be paid from 911 service fund contractual services dollars.
Commissioners would also lend approval to a $5,000 invoice from Foley Industries for motor grader repairs presented by County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield and a nearly $5,400 quote from Blackcreek Diesel & Automotive for replacing a bus camshaft presented by LCAT Director Shane Brunner.
Commissioners also convened one executive session for non-elected personnel matters with no action taken.
Commissioners will reconvene for their weekly action meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
