Pool season is coming to an end areawide.
Americus says its new splash pad is ending its season at 9 pm Sept. 28. Project Playscape raised funds for several years on the splash pad, which opened to the public late this spring.
Meanwhile, the splash pad in Strong City closed down for the season in late August.
Emporia’s splash pad at Peter Pan Park typically is open until mid-October, but it has been closed since Sept. 13 for pump repairs.
