One person received medical attention after reportedly suffering a knife wound in western Chase County, but authorities say no criminal act was apparently involved.
Chase County Sheriff Jacob Welsh says deputies and Chase County Fire/EMS were dispatched to Cedar Point shortly before 7 pm Wednesday, finding a male subject with a wound to his torso. The person was initially taken to Newman Regional Health in Emporia before being transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Welsh says deputies investigated alongside the Kansas Bureau of Investigation before ruling out any criminal activity. Welsh says there will be no additional information released.
