Emporia High School Gymnastics held their final home gymnastics meet in school history on Monday night. Head Coach Angla Podrebarac says it is a bittersweet moment knowing gymnastics will no longer be a sanctioned sport in Kansas, but loved how her athletes went out.
Podrebarac says that while high school gymmastics is no longer a high school sport in Kansas after this season, there will still be opportunities for girls in Emporia to compete at the club level.
As for the meet on Monday, here are the top finishers for the Lady Spartans from Monday’s home Gymnastics meet.
Addy Malone had a strong performance in the vault, placing third and 5th overall. Kaylee Gilliland finished in 3rd in floor while Annalise Huebner placed 4th in floor.
