Significant work is coming to Emporia’s Overlander Road, and the public is encouraged to attend a special information meeting at the start of October.
The meeting is at 6 pm Oct. 1. Residents will learn more about the tentative project schedule, scope and impacts to traffic and nearby businesses. Overlander is getting a concrete overlay, new box bridge and 12-inch waterline as part of a better than $4 million project, with the vast majority of funding coming from the federal and state governments. The city share is around $750,000.
The meeting will be at White Auditorium City Conference Room 1 AB.
