Emporia State University will bring a noted presenter on criminal justice matters back to campus Monday.
David Garlock will discuss his experience being incarcerated for over a decade after he and his brother killed the man they say sexually abused them for nearly a decade. Garlock says his case resembles the more well-known case involving Erik and Lyle Menendez, who killed their parents after years of alleged emotional, physical and sexual abuse and who both recently had parole denied.
Garlock’s presentation will take place at 7 pm Monday at Albert Taylor Hall, focusing on the impacts of incarceration, as well as trauma, justice and redemption.
