The Emporia State volleyball team was honored with two weekly awards from the MIAA following its 2-0 start to conference play. Camilla Ossola is the MIAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week while Mia Frisbie is the Defensive Player of the Week. Ossola had 13 kills with just two errors in ESU’s 3-0 victory over #24 Missouri Western Friday and tacked on six more kills and seven total blocks on Saturday. Frisbie earned defensive honors with 13 total blocks over the weekend including eight block assists Saturday in a sweep of the Bearcats. The Lady Hornets have won their last 11 matches and return to action Thursday with a road trip to Wichita to face Newman.
