Emporia’s Pizza Hut is under renovations.
Signage went up this week signaling the work ahead inside the restaurant. The scope and timetable for the work has not been announced. There is no word on whether this affects delivery operations.
Back in September 2020, NPC International announced plans to sell all its Pizza Hut assets, including the Emporia restaurant, after starting Chapter 11 bankruptcy processes. NPC then entered into a better-than-$550 million agreement with Flynn Restaurant Group to sell over 900 Pizza Huts and nearly 200 Wendy’s in 2021.
Pizza Hut has had delivery traffic, although restaurant traffic has been low since Pizza Ranch came to Emporia in 2008, a year after Pizza Hut moved from West Sixth to 2920 West 18th.
