Lyon County commissioners could approve items related to a new shooting range and Emergency Communications home office as part of their action meeting Thursday.
Sheriff Jeff Cope will present a construction engineering agreement with Driggs Design Group totaling $9,300. This will involve oversight and testing during the range’s first phase of construction. Cope is also presenting a nearly $1,600 bid from KBS Construction to build the range and also handle some dirt work for a new home for Lyon County Emergency Communications.
Separately, County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield will present a better than $32,000 quote from Railroad Yard for steel plate and a tank car as part of process to convert those items into culverts. County Counselor Molly Priest will present a resolution for the county to amend certain items with the Joint City-County Traffic Safety Committee, following discussions by Emporia city commissioners Wednesday.
Commission and staff reports are on the agenda. Executive sessions are not.
The meeting is at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
