Two Emporia teenagers accused of attempted robbery are now set for sentencing after a hearing in Lyon County District Court this week.
Cristian Cervantes and Zuriel Trujillo, both 14, pleaded no contest to attempted aggravated robbery Tuesday. Lyon County Attorney Amy Aranda says both have been released from custody with GPS monitoring until sentencing Nov. 18.
Cervantes and Trujillo were accused of accosting a man outside a gas station in mid-August. Emporia Police officers said they recovered a gun and knife as part of their initial investigative work.
