The Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas Board of Directors has delayed its monthly meeting.
The gathering was supposed to take place Oct. 10 but is now on the calendar for Oct. 15. The agenda includes comments from Interim President Lyle Butler and Board Chair Jeff Williams before an executive session, which is listed as an action item. Unspecified other business is also set to be addressed.
A reason for the rescheduling has not been announced.
Whether the RDA’s permanent president position will be filled soon is to be determined. The permanent post has been open since Chuck Scott resigned early last year, with Butler following Jim Witt as interim presidents since Scott’s resignation. Williams, who also serves as the board spokesman, has not confirmed whether the RDA board has interviewed finalist candidates this year, only saying the board continues looking for the right fit for the job and the area.
