Freshman wide receiver Divante Herrig-Brittian was named the MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt and recovering it for a touchdown at Missouri Western last week. The redshirt sophomore from Lansing, Kan. gave ESU a 14-0 lead at the time and was the first blocked punt recovered or returned for a score since 2010. The Hornets have now blocked four kicks this season including three the last two weeks. The Hornets host Missouri Southern on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Welch Stadium. Our coverage begins at 12:00 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
