The USD 252 Southern Lyon County Board of Education is traveling north on Kansas Highway 130 for its board meeting Wednesday.
Instead of the normal meeting place in Hartford, board members will meet at Neosho Rapids Elementary at 6 pm, in part to tour facilities. Part of the meeting will also focus on transportation policy for nonresident students. Building, director and superintendent reports are planned.
The board will also honor its teachers of the year — elementary teacher Crystal Heins and secondary teacher Rosemary McGuire.
