The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7957 has announced an open house as part of the local community calendar Oct. 18.
The event will be at the post headquarters, 302 South Commercial, from 9 am to noon. Post members say this is a way for the community to learn more about what the club does for veterans and the area as a whole. They also see it as a way to get more information about its rental opportunities and memberships.
Law enforcement personnel, first responders, current and prospective Match Day donors and the community are all encouraged to attend.
