Recently, KVOE News told you resurfacing of Kansas Highway 99 between Emporia and the Lyon-Greenwood county line was coming soon.
Soon is officially Friday.
The mill-and-overlay project will begin at Emporia’s south city limits and move south to the county line. The Kansas Department of Transportation says traffic will be constructed to one lane with a pilot car and flaggers during active construction. Work will take place on weekdays during daylight hours and may take place on Saturdays as well.
Work may be completed by late November, weather permitting. APAC Shears of Hutchinson is the lead contractor on this $3.6 million project.
