The 2025 Emporia Symphony Orchestra’s annual Pops Concert will be showcasing some of the most recognizable music from the silver screen and stage.
The performance, titled Stars of the Stage and Screen, will take place inside the Emporia Granada Theatre on Tuesday at 7:30 pm. Symphony conductor Gary Ziek says concert-goers can expect a high-energy performance with recognizable music from movies, theatre and even popular video games.
As for the selections, Ziek says the performance will include tunes from Pirates of the Caribbean, How to Train Your Dragon, Kingdom Hearts, Halo, the Pirates of Penzance and much more. The cost to attend the concert is $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and free for students of all ages.
The Emporia Symphony League will also be hosting a 50/50 raffle before the concert and during intermission, with all proceeds going to support youth programming.
