Newman Regional Health is marking Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day with its annual Wave of Light ceremony Wednesday.
Activities will be at C of E Park near the pond. There will be a brief talk at 6:45 pm, followed by a candlelight vigil at 7.
Depending on the source, research indicates anywhere from 10-30 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. A much smaller percentage end in stillbirths, but over 20,000 babies in the US are stillborn every year.
