The Kansas State High School Activities Association has released new districts for football during the 2026-27 seasons. In 8-Man Division II, Burlingame, Hartford, and Lebo will move to District 3 next season and be joined by Goessell, Rural Vista, Wakefield, and Waverly who jumps in from District 1. Madison is dropping from 8-Man Division I to DII and will be placed in District 1. In 8-Man DI, Northern Heights, Chase County, and Lyndon will all move to District 3 from District 2 and be joined by Pleasanton and Cair Paravel. In 1A, Olpe will go to District 1 where they’ll be joined by Northeast, Eureka, St. Mary’s Colgan, and Uniontown. Osage City will still be in 2A District 3 next season along with Oskaloosa, West Franklin, Maranatha Academy, & current district rival Silver Lake while current district foe Council Grove will move to District 5. The new district opponents for the Braves include Southeast of Saline, Marysville, Minneapolis, & Riley County. Emporia remains in the West half of 5A for the next two years and would be the No. 12 seed in the playoffs if the postseason began today. Great Bend and Salina Central are the only two undefeated teams in the 5A West at 6-0. Marais des Cygnes Valley will remain in District 1 of 6-Man football.
