Saturday will see another round of No Kings rallies nationwide, including one in Emporia.
The local No Kings event will be from 11 am to 1 pm at the corner of Sixth and Commercial.
Currently, over 2,000 similar rallies are planned nationwide.
This follows a No Kings national event this past June, including one at Fremont Park that saw hundreds of people attending and several people speaking.
No Kings is an effort protesting the direction of the federal government since Donald Trump became president for the second time, saying the government has defied court rulings, illegally deported or “disappeared” people, cut services and rolled the clock back on civil rights.
