The Emporia State volleyball team is in the Top 25 for the first time since 2011 in this week’s AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll. ESU is 17-3 on the year and has won four matches in a row to go along with an earlier 14-match streak. Tampa is the unanimous No. 1 with 47 first-place votes followed by Washburn, Barry, Nebraska-Kearney and Point Loma. From the MIAA, Central Oklahoma is seventh, and Missouri Western, despite a head-to-head loss to Emporia State, is 24th. The Lady Hornets, 8-1 in MIAA action, return to conference play Friday traveling to face #2 Washburn in their only match of the week. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. at Lee Arena.
