Another Emporia intersection is closing this week due to work on the Southeast Transmission waterline project.
Communications Manager Christine Torrens says Seventh will close at Oak on Thursday and water service nearby may be interrupted.
This follows closures of Seventh and Washington on Tuesday and Seventh and Walnut on Wednesday.
The Southeast project is installing new, larger waterlines from 12th and Garfield to South and Carter over the next year. Updates on street closures, detours and other traffic matters is available at the city website, emporiaks.gov/livemap and the city Facebook page.
