Court processes have started for an Emporia charged with arson after a vehicle fire this past weekend.
Miguel Renterio had his first appearance in Lyon County District Court and was set for a preliminary hearing Nov. 12.
Renterio faces one count of arson after allegedly setting a vehicle on fire near South and Neosho early Oct. 18. Nobody was hurt and the vehicle in question was destroyed before the fire was put out.
