The city of Emporia has announced another intersection closing soon as part of the Southeast Transmission waterline project.
City Communications Manager Christine Torrens says Seventh will close at West on Monday and may remain closed for up to three weeks. This follows separate announcements of Seventh closing at Walnut, Washngton and Oak earlier this week.
Partial closures are also listed on the City of Emporia website, emporiaks.gov/livemap, along Garfield from 12th Seventh, also Seventh from Lincoln to Neosho and Neosho from Seventh to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. Work could last through much of next fall as new waterlines are installed between 12th and Garfield and South and Carter.
